Zankyou no Terror/ Terror in ResonanceLast episode

SPOILER ALERT IF YOU DIDN'T SEE EPISODE 11


Today i decided to watch The last two episode(10-11) of Zankyou no Terror(Terror in Resonance) and..

My word cannot express the supress rage, sadness and mixed emotion i feel from this last episode


Quick recap from Episode 10

-Five wakes up in a hospital
-Nine Turns himself in
-Five leave hospital to go look for five because"nobody but her can have Nine"
-Twelve and lisa hears about Nine turning himself in and Twelve feel guilty for betraying him(as he should)
-Nine decides to give a announcement around 8 and while the cops are transporting him Five decide to chase him down shoot at the car he was in
-Five is betrayed by the blond American translator but she end up killing him (just cuz)
-Nine shoots at the car Five was in but in the end Five end up killing her self by shooting at the gasoline leek coming from the car
-Nine Still holds the cantonment but instead of revealing info about Spinx  he announces that he will set off a atomic bomb around 10pm that night.

 
                                                       Goodbye Five. You lived a short life in this show.



Episode 11

This is the episode shit really hit the fan. First you have people flipping their shit because a Atomic bomb is set to go off in a couple of hours. People are leaving the area and shibazaki is trying to get shit in order. Lisa Meet up with Twelve but twelve is badly injurer from throwing a bomb at Five's car he passed out.  Shibazaki and the other are trying to get to the root of why Nine decided NOW to release a atomic bomb. Shibazaki decides to call up his daughter who is evacuating the city along with his wife to ask her how can a atomic bomb go off without killing people and she tells him if it release in a higher altitude it would go off but it would knock out power to the whole country. While Shibazaki and the other scramble to figure out how to get the bomb from out the sky and stop it from knocking out power to the entire country, Nine ride a elevator to the top of somewhere just to see it go off.  long story short  Twelve tells Lisa that she gave him and Nine a reason to live ,Bomb goes off, People are safe but the power does go off  and nine uses his watch to create the Northern lights and watches the view from wherever he is safe at.




So Lisa and Twelve meets up with Nine the day after the bomb goes off and Nine thanks Twelve for helping him during the Five incident. The three spend the few hours they have together living out peacefully, Cleaning up, making grave maker for those who died, playing (or trying to play soccer) and listing to music. Before it gotten dark Shibazaki mangage to find out where they was hiding and figure out what they was truly after which was to be notice and caught but Nine pointed out the he was their ophidious (sorry if i spelled that wrong)  He places the Duo under arrest but before he has a chance to cuff them the US military Surround them in their helicopters

Shibazaki manages to Stop Nine from setting off multiple atomic bombs after he watch Twelve Get shot but in wasn't long before he too sub come to the test drugs from years of testing and soon dies

To be honest i really wasn't surprise that they died. I was really surprised at how Twelve died though. I honestly  thought that he would have sub come to the drugs testing as Nine Did but seeing him get shot like that really did crush me.


My thought on the series as a whole as this. It is a great series and it was a refreshing break from the action, shoujo, comedy, horror genre HOWEVER  what killed it is the Twelve and Lisa romance

Anyway that aside it does has good music and a good deep plot and a ending that is going to take me weeks to get over(epically after watching Free now i gotta deal with this ending TOO!)
 There really wasn't left at the end of the episode. We see Shibazaki and Lisa Vising  Nine and Twelve Grave's and Lisa telling Shibazaki that before he died he ask nine what was he always listing too V-O-N which meant hope. After that they parted ways

Terror in resonance/zankyou no terror episode 2-4

I know this show was made this year but why do i feel like it was drawn and made back in 05 but just never put out or animated properly at that time to be released.



So  Terrorism.  There is so much dept to that word. With that aside i could go in on how these are kids with bombs and they are just running wild around Japan blowing up shit or i could give a deep in-dept analysis on Nine and Twelve personality  (i might just do that later on down the line but it clear that Lisa is depressed let just get that out the way)  but let get  my thoughts on these episode out of the way as well.

Episode 2.

Smooth move cops! You couldn't figure out where the bomb was! I gotta give it to Twelve though he walked through that police station and set down that bomb like it was nothing. It took a outside source who looks like Vincent from the cowboy bebop movie to tell them the bomb is in the police building.

Episode 3.

So in this episode the Vincent lookalike re-joins the police force in order to help out with who is setting off all these bomb. With his help they manage to detonate one from going off and figure out that its kids doing it but they still don't know its Nine and Twelve who are doing the bombings. My only problem with this episode is with twelve. Twelve told lisa that if she make one false move he will kill her. Yet she a accomplice she part of the team technically and true he tried to kill her in the first episode via fluffy item but what kinda psychopathic thing to say to a person. 


Episode 4(don't read if you haven't seen)

So Lisa ran away from home. The cops are still trying to figure out who these bombers are and now another message from  nine and twelve appeares and they only have till midnight to figure it out. They figure it out but when they do all the cops information they manage to collect on this case so far get leaked to the public because Nine found a backdoor into the police website and decide to cyber fuck them via computer game via riddle. For someone who hates Lisa, Twelve sure went above and beyond to keep tabs on her and save her from being taken in from the police. Idk that why i feel like i need to do a analisis on both Nine and Twelve personality because its kinda necessary when it comes to the case of Lisa  and maybe the Vincent lookalike

Overall i did enjoy all three episode and i cannot wait for the soundtrack for this anime to be released because Yoko Kannon is a musical anime genius.

I don't like to say things unless i feel they are true and what im about to say i feel is true. Terror In Resonance is the new Cowboy Bebop.
I say that because i feel that this hold long term weight. I can see me not only me but people in general re-watching it 10-20 times (depending on their preference) and the music just like in cowboy bebop is just so captivating. Yes, on its own Cowboy bebop is a classic anime staple but i feel that in this new era of anime that maybe Terror in resonance will be that new anime staple that Cowboy Bebop was back in the day.

But that just me.

I can't wait till next week episode.

Zankyou no Terror first impression

Do not read if you haven't seen the first episode.




If its one thing i learn in all my years of watching anime is never go in anime with preconcived notions. 1) because if you expect one thing you 9/10 will get another and it could either be a great thing or a huge disapointment depending on a anime and 2) Certain anime could just blow your preconcived notion out of the water and this was  one of them


Zankyou no Terror/Terror in Resonance

   

This is another anime directed by Watanabe(aka the person who made Cowboy bebop, Samurai champloo, and Space Dandy) and The soundtrack is done by Yoko Kanno. The five minuets had the two main characters break in to a facility in the dead of winter just to steal a bomb.
This story follows two main characters :

Who pose as students at a high school but are actually Terrorist. Idk why this surprises me but really High school terrorist. i shouldn't be surprised but i am. We are later introduce to Lisa a girl who get bullied but then end up joining this terrorist group via Twelve trying to kill her off but nine trying to save her.

How i feel about this show, well i personally feel that this isn't going to be the show for everyone especially seeing how it deals with terrorism  honestly i feel that this will be the stand out show that will seriously go underrated for this summer. Going back to preconcived notion i honeslty thought this was going to be a show about a group of teen surving a post war or something post this whole terroristic plot is just very interesting.

and is it just me or does it feel like wataname just took the whole plot of the cowboy bebop movie and just redid it and and added teens?

I will definally be watching this one too.
