Owarimonogatari season 2 final thoughts

The late comer to the summer party Owarimonogatari season 2 is the conclusion to the Monogatari anime series. It was a Two day event. Being honest this was a two day OVA. Its technically a OVA. Owarimonogatari season 2 is shorter than any of the other monogatari anime with a whopping 3  episodes.

So the first part continues after the last episode of Kyomimonogatari. Basically Kyomi is set to hell and meet Mayoi there. She is tasked with guiding him out of hell. It turns out all of this was planned by Gaen with the help of Tadatsuru (main bad guy from Tsukimonogatari)  to extract Shinobu from him and making him human again. Before leaving hell he takes Mayoi with him back to earth and Tadatsuru tell him the name of the person who hired him to kill Kyomi which was Oshino Ougi.

hitagi rendezvous was basically Kyomi and Senjogehara going on a date. This half was mostly use to set up Ougi dark. The only good part to me was when Ougi enters Kyomi dream and they talk until he wakes up. Im glad they deiced to make Senjogehara  have long hair again. Also she has a driver license so that was cool and interesting.


In Ougi dark the first half was Gaen, Kyomi, shinobu(in her kiss shot form) and Mayoi dissucssing plans on how to take out Ougi. Gaen decides to make Mayoi god of the shrine Nadeko once took over when she was possed by the snake in order to restore some kind of balence in that town. Gaen says he original plan was make Shinobu the god of that shrine but plans fell through when Nadeko got involved. Gaen then tells Kyomi Ougi's true identy  and that he alone must stop her. It turns out Ougi is Kyomi. Ougi was created to judge Kyomi and all his deeds and actions. Kyomi now knowing this confronts Ougi in the old cram school from bakemonogatari where Oshino Meme was located. Once Kyomi reveals Ougi true identity the darkness shows up to take Ougi. Kyomi ends up saving Ougi and losing a arm in the process.While the darkness is still there waiting to take Ougi  Oshino Meme shows up along with Hanekawa. Meme end up making the Darkness go away  by acknowledging Ougi as his niece thus acknowledging her presence.
The whole series ends with Kyomi, Senjogehara and Hanekawa graduating High school and Kyomi telling Ougi (who is basically a ghost like oddity now) that no matter how much he change he still gonna be himself.


Plot-8.5
Hitagi Rendezvou was kinda boring being honest. Yes her interaction with Kyomi was nice but plot wise if it didn't help set up Ougi Dark i would have skipped it.
Characters-9
Mayoi had the most character development  she seem more mature in this series. I like the fact that they decided to make Senjogehara have long hair her character seem the same as in other series. Mayori had the most development as a character in my opinion
Animation-10
Weird animation choices were made in this series but it still was good and to be expected from SHAFT
Overall-9.5
This was a nice conclusion to the series overall. Hanamonogatari is the True ending timeline wise but Owarimonogatri season 2 was a good ending overall. It wrapped up every loose ends nicely and it was good.

Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai OVA Episode 2

I was going to review the last episode of mahou shousho Ikusei Keikaku but  the fight between swim swim and Ripple was so anti-Climatic and lackluster it wasn't worth it. The series as a whole was good and id give it a 8/10 but the fight between Swim Swim and Ripple could have been better.

That aside the second episode of Kubikiri cycle has come out and the next few has been delayed by a month so instead of episode three coming out two days ago its going to come out sometime at the beginning or end of January. 

Being honest this episode of Kubikiri Cycle was kinda boring. The first 15 minuets was spend with most of the main cast siting around the dinner table getting into arguments. They did expand on the other main characters like the foodie( Yayoi Sashirono) and the head of the house(Iria Akagami) but then Art hoe(Kanami Ibuki) getting into it with Shougi Master ( Akane Sonoyama) and Derpy ene reject (Toma Kunagisa) had to defuse the argument between them. Head of the house Iria Akagami announce that the house will get another guest soon but Tomo will be gone when they arrived. Then another argument breaks out between the narrator and the Psychic bitch ( Maki Himena) and it got so bad the Narriator almost wanted to hit her but Tomo stop him.

Back in Tomo room, Tomo bitches about how hungry she is and they both go downstairs to get her a snack. They go to the living room and stumble upon one of the maids, Psychic bitch and art hoe escort(Sasaki shinya) just chilling so they decide to chill with them. Psychic bitch apologizes for what happen at dinner but then decides to pick on the narriator some more by reading his fortune and mind for some reason after she done pissing him off she ask Tomo the real reason she came to the island and she said to solve a mystery that took place on the island years ago. Just after she said that a earthquake took place, everybody was fine and soon tomo and the narriator went back to their rooms and went to sleep.

The episode ends with the narrator finding Ibuku Beheaded. So that was fun.

The first 15 minuets of this ova was boring to me beside the arguments it was boring and in the living room scene it was oddly very dark like for a SHAFT show but i still somewhat enjoyed the second OVA

Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregototsukai/ Decapitation Cycle: The Blue Savant and the Prankster



A story about a boy (nameless for the most part) and a bunch of Elitist (mostly female) who are good in their field who all live in a house in the middle of a fucking island on a cliff.

 This 8 part OVA is the latest series made by the same person who made the Monogatari series, Nisiosini and the latest anime that SHAFT just so happen to sneak up upon us.
Visually It was stunning (it usually it when t comes to a Nisiosini project) but my only gripe with this Ova is that most of the characters look like SHAFT anime reject. Like all of them look like they were suppose to be main or side characters in other SHAFT anime but got scrapped

i need to see more to give it a proper rating but the first ova had a decent story overall two of the girls hate each other and the Ene lookalike is a cyber terrorist.

The second OVA comes out i think at the end of this month hopefull we get more to this story. The first really wasn't any thing special plot wise but it was interesting and visually good.

Winter 2015 anime first impression pt 2

 Death Parade

Welcome to limbo where a bartender will judge if you either goes to Heaven or Hell. The first episode was very erie.  Im not going to even try to spoil it but yeah if you like watching people figure  out if they are dead or alive and being forced to play a game by their bartender to see if they are getting into heaven or hell check this out. I will be watching this one but maybe with the lights on.

Assassination classroom

What happens when you put a group of misfit middle schoolers and a ailen teachers who only real face jester is a weird psychotic smiley  face and force these teens to kill their teacher before March. You get this anime. The first episode while it was funny it really wasn't nothing stand out about it except  for the main character. I will check it out for comedy purposes this season and mostly to see where it goes.

IdolM@aster Cinderella Girls

Im not a fan of Idol anime but for some reason this one caught my attention. After checking out the Puchimas idolmaster series previously i decided to give this series a chance. For the most part it is boring but the music is good. I won't be watching it on a regular but when i do it will be for the music.

Koufuku Graffiti

A anime by SHAFT where half their budget goest to animating food perfectly. The first episode was really all about the food and mostly this whole anime is about food. To be honest its a slice of life anime about food. I will be watching to see the many different ways SHAFT plans on animating or using food in this anime.
