Divine Gate episode 7

Ok seriously what the fuck?!  This week episode took a sharp turn to the left. From the pass episode while it was vaguely mention the main focus of this whole anime was to get to the gate and that each main character has a reason to get to the gate, APPARENTLY somewhere along this week episode somebody at HQ must have said "Fuck it" because we got  this train wreck  mess of a episode.


We start this weeks episode off with Alto and his friends with the Knights of the round table now apparently dressed in all white. I say this because the Knight spend the pass episode dressed in all black are somehow now magically dressed in all white for what reason i do not know but all of them are standing in front of the area that lead them to where the  gate is. Before they are able to get to the gate they have to fight some "gods" that protect the gate  so the knights decide that it would be best to let their leader, Arther, and Alto and his friends go on head to the gate while they engage in the most useless battle scene since this show has aired.

So the four are at the gate and somehow during the bloodbath that ended with all but one of the knights dead the gods ended up merging together for some reason and attack Arther into the gate. Alto and his friends start to bang on the close door of the gate for it to open but that when the only survivor of the knights show up and tell them to relax. Beaten and almost on his last leg  Arther is almost finished but that when his good old dick of a pal Loki shows up and offer him a deal,  stop trying to destroy the gate and be his or just die right there.

Side note -while the other knights was fighting and dying it was reviled to the only survivor  that Arther doesn't want the gate he wants to DESTROY  the gate and restore the world to what it was before the gate existed. Why? who care.

The gate opens and

I guessed he chosed the first option because he stab the last surviving Meyerbeer of the knights before accepting the dark power from the sword loki gave him in the gate.


This episode was a hot mess. Animation aside it was like this was ment to be somewhere near the ending episode not episode 7. It nwas like someone took a page from Madoka Magica episode 3 and change the story pacing. The Knight fight scene was a mess and kinda not really needed. Arther turning evil was predictable but the way they chose to portray it was kinda awkward to me  this whole episode could be summed up with a big old what and why?

The episode end with alto and friends falling through the floor along with the dead body of the guy Arther stab.

Erased Episode 5

Quick Question should i read or keep watching Erased? That out of the way, We knew  that this momentum of Erased couldn't last. While this week episode wasn't bad to me(because apparently to others this is the episode that made them drop the whole fucking series) it did had huge flaws.

What happen last week Satorou still trap in 1988 is doing his best to save  Kayo Hizanaki the girl who dons a red coat, who has been abused by her mom and  who went missing 10 years ago during a Kidnapping indecent. He manages to make it pass the day she was Kidnapped and attend school the next day but last week episode ends with Kayo missing the next day.

This week episode with X day behind him and Kayo STILL absent from school  Satorou is on edge. The teacher send him home early and he decides to go check out Kayo place to see if she there and if her mom still beating her but she is not there and apparently her mom  and boyfriend is hiding out. The next few day a few more students from different school go missing and apparently the old "runaway to grandma's/grandpa's" excuse is starting to lose water. Kenya Satoru friend saw through it right away and ask Satorou if maybe Kayo like the other who "Went to Grandma's/Granpa's" were really Kidnap.  I couple of days later while walking Satorou sees Kayo mom throws out some "trash"or what seems to be "trash".

Satorou gets close to to see the gloves he gave her for her b-day in the trash this cause him to freak the fuck out and run away 

 
 Satorou somehow ends up back in the future (where he fucking belongs) and is still in the middle of shit. So like any normal person being accused of a murder he goes into hiding under a bridge. Everything seem to go right with him after he runs into his boss and his boss let him crash at his place but soon turns back to shit after the boss turn him in so he is back on the run. He then runs into a co-worker who ACTUALLY  helps him out
Airi lets him crash at her family house until the boss fuck things up for Airi and Satorou

 So it back under the bridge for Satorou.  But at least  Airi is a decent human being and decide to go back to get him a change of clothes but before she can bring it to her the killer text her phone and then set her house on fire

We learned a few things in this episode.  For one satorou CAN come back from 1988. Two He CAN change the past. A example of this is in this week episode, Kayo was kidnapped when she was 10 when he came back and re-read the same article it had her age now listed as 11 so we know now the past can be change. What we don't know is who is the killer and how is he going to get back to 1988 to save Kayo or how is he going to save Airi.
Compared to the other episode that aired so far this one was pretty weak until near the end of the show but it look like we can expect a good show next week too.

Winter Anime 2016 honorable mentions

These are the anime i will be checking out if i remember of i found not interesting enough to watch weekly.

Side not HaruChika is now on this list because it really gotten to boring for me to want to check out weekly or bi-weekly. Anyway let get into this review.

Schwarzesmarken

While this is a very good show and one of my favorite artist did the character designs for this show im really not a fan of the Muv-luv game or anime. What makes this different from the original Muv-luv series is that it takes place in 1983 Germany. With it's historical and military elements its a good show but im not a muv-luv fan and Schwarzesmarken takes place in the Muv-luv universe.


 Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai kakkei/ Active  Raid: Special Public Security Fifth Division Third Mobile Assault Eighth Unit

If you like Tiger and bunny but wish it was mix with the excitement of rail wars and had the clone main girl  from psycho pass then this is the anime for you. All jokes aside while the show plot looks good it took me three time to watch the first episode because it is kinda boring. I am giving this show a chance though.

 Oshiete! Galko-chan/ Please tell me! Galko-chan

 Really not much to say about this show. It a three minuet short about three high school girls. Glako a outspoken blond hair girl with big breast. Otako is a short hair, short girl who is shy yet ends up being friends with Glako and Ojyo the tall airhead of the group. 


 Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desukara.

Another three minunt short. This one is about a middle school girl who discover a bird ball thing who grants her the power of becoming a magical girl. Only problem is her outfit is a swimsuit. it pretty funny to watch each episode.


Sekkou Boys 

  The anime is about a new idol unit called the Sekkou Boys and it features Saint Giorgio,Hermes,Medici and Mars the only problem (besides the fact of them being either dead or not really real) is that the idol unit is made up of bust of the historical figures. Miki Ishimoto after dropping out of a art school due to frustration from drawing to many bust figures was put in charge of managing the newly form unit. Apparently this is also a game as well. It a short but its funny to see the frustration Miki goes through while managing the Unit 



Divine Gate

 Divine Gate from the start has huge flaws but it is a very interesting anime. I can see why alot of people will or have ended up dropping this.  I saw two games and two anime similarities from this anime but Divine gate is it own thing in Japan which has made its cross over with a few anime and game series. 


Kokaku No Pandora/ Pandora of the Crimson Shell Ghost Urn

 Well i really do not know if this is suppose to be a yuri? or a shoujo-ai but for the most part it follows a girl name Nene who is cyborg who plans to live with her aunt on cenancle island and on the way meet a inventor and her neko maid assistant Clarion who is also a cyborg. For the most part whenever Uzal get involved in some mess, Nene and Clarion has to team up and use to pandora code which equate to nene putting her hand into Clarion and her gaining some new weird power up. I like the show so far but i can't figure out if it was suppose to be a yuri or a shoujo ai.


Ooya-san wa Shinhunki !/ The landlord is in Puberty!

well we have another three minute short.  Its about a guy who moves into a apartment and well his landlord is a middleschool girl named Chie.  The show is cute but it could have been longer to be me.

Winter anime 2016 first impression pt 2

Sorry this review is so late. I was waiting for on of these anime to finally be sub and by the time it got sub most of these were already on their second episode. Anyway let get into it

Nurse witch Komugi R

While i am glad that there is  another Nurse witch Komugi season im not feeling this one.  Many changes including to the character designs and it feels way different from  the original. I will stick it out but i prefer the original than this new one. Side note the character designer for bakemonogatari and Grisia series did the characters for this show.


GATE Season 2

If you like season one you will want to stick around for season two. Just two episode in and shit is already getting real. No spoilers here but it does look like season two of GATE  will be a don't miss event so yeah i will be watching.


DurararaXKetsu/ Durarara Season 3

This is season three of  Drrr or Durarara  the first episode  takes place after the last season  and now in this season we have more characters and new problems and Izaya is still trolling like a bitch.


Koyomimonogatari

What was suppose to be a app exclusive somehow made it to the net(like it usually do). Koyomimonogatari is a ova telling Agarigi story from spring break( Bakemonogatari) up till university exams (probably Owarimonogatari) and is slate to be twelve episode long. From the first two episodes that are out. They could have kept this. While it isn't bad. It wasn't needed i will be watching cuz it is interesting to see.



AJIN

This show may not be for everyone. For starters the animation is purely CGI so that may turn a lot away.  While the first episode was good i feel that there was no need for that much CGI. Im going to be watching and this does look promising but yeah overuse of the CGI might kill this show.


I did it last year so this year the honorable mentions will be up this weekend.

Winter 2016 First Impression Pt 1

Well its that time of year again. With New Years a week behind us and most of people breaking resolutions left and right the Winter anime season has began and there are alot of heavy hitters this time around.

Aria the Avverine 

If you see the original  Aria Series then this is no different from that. The story take place just a couple of years after the second season and there is a new character inroduce in the first episode.
I will be watching mostly because its only going to have three episodes it mostly a OVA to celebrate the 10th aniversary of the first Aria season.
Haruchika Haruta to Chika Wa Seishun Suru/ HaruChika

My only grip with this show is how "glossy" everything looks  and its for no reason. I can understand the instruments but the characters as well?  This is mostly for those who wonder what would it be like to mix Hyouka with hibike! euphonium or are wanting another Hyouka seeing how kyoani is not planning to make a season 2 i will be watching on a bi-weekly basis. The first episode was good but it wasn't enough to keep me watching on a weekly basis


Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi/ERASED

 WOW. This is just one of the "Heavy Hitters" for the winter season. The first episode was alot to take in. It was very well paced. It seem like it going to be a good mystery anime I will be watching  that ending made me want to see what happens next and im waiting till the anime ends to read the manga


Dagashi Kashi 

This is one of those shows where you can learn alot and not realize it as well as say what the fuck is going on. The show mostly focus on a young boy who wants to become a manga-ka but his dad wants to inherent the family sweets shop which is located in the middle of nowhere. A girl name Hotaru comes to the sweet shop to offer the young lad father a position at her family company but the only way he would heave is if his son take over the business so she stays and to try to convince himto take over his dads shop. I will be watching mostly for the snacks and Hotaru. This show is funny and the first episode will leave you saying "What the fuck?" but it won't leave you feeling guilt for eating while watching it  in fact i secretly think it encourages it.


Princes Of Stride Alternative

Gather around all you Yaoi fans and lovers of sports anime here's another one to add to your catalog. Prince of Stride Alternative is a racing anime by Studio Madhouse and even though this is right up their ally seeing how this is the studio who made Hajime no Ippo and Diamond no ace. This mostly focus on the Stride racing and in the first episode we are introduce to the main characters and the one female character. There is a race  at the end  so at least the first episode wasn't all talk. While i was intriged with this first episode for me it felt like whoever animated pesona animated this and i was playing a racing persona game granted i know this was adapted from a visual novel but still. So i will be watching but bi-weekly

Owarimonogatari Final thoughts

Happy Holidays! Christmas was yesterday or a couple of days ago if you are reading this late so Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it.  With most of the fall anime season coming to a close and the winter anime season about to start i spent the majory of the week/weekend catching up with anime that ended or is about to end.

Speaking of anime that ended Owarimonogatari. Owarimonogatari was suppose  to be the ending of the Bakemongatari series. Much of its hype came last year when we saw a drawing with Ougi Oshino sitting on a desk in her black dress and Shaft saying they are releasing it in October of 2015. A few week before it was released two pv were released that feature Aragari and Ougi trapped in a classroom and for the most part it look like the show was going to be ineresting.  Show airs. That classroom scene is just part of the Ougi forumula Arc of the whole series which was important to the next arc Sodachi Riddle where we meet a girl from Agaragi Childhood who returns to school after two years of absents and who hates Agargi so much to the point she stab him with a pencil.

The whole focus of Owarimonogatari was to put a focus on Ougi Oshino and how she fits into the whole universe. How does Ougi know alot about everybody yet nobody knows anything about her? Is she really alive? Is she really Oshino niece?  NONE of those questions were answered because Owarimonogatari decided to end on Shinobu mail arc which was basically two guys fighting over shinobu, one who shinobu should have made sure was dead 400 years ago.

While i do have a bias for SHAFT im sad to say owarimogatari didn't live up to its hype. Mainly because it could have been much longer. It was missing two vital arc that was needed if they really wanted to call this a ''ending story" which was Mayori Hell and Ougi dark. I would have love to see both animated but instead it just ended on shinobu's mail.

 

Subete ga F ni Naru: The Perfect Insider Final thoughts

Spoilers if you are planning on watching this or haven't seen the ending



When i watch the first episode i put it on my hornorable mentions list for the fall season  mostly because the first episode was boring as shit. However, as i continue to stick it out and watch each episode it became more and more interesting.

Subete ga F n Naru: The Perfect insider  all revoloves around three main characters, Nishizono Moe a 19 year old student. Saikawa Soihei a Professer who looks like a front man to a Jrock band and  Dr. Magata Shiki a woman who lives in a lab and wears only white.  Around episode 3-4   Nishizono, Shohei and a bunch of others who are more or less important to the series take a trip to the Dr's lab and that when the show pick up from boring and dropable to we need to figure out who the killer is because just a few hours being within the Dr's lab the discover her body in a wedding dress coming twards them on a push card and the hands and feet were cut off.

While figuring out who killed the Dr. the seires would flash back years to when the Dr. was just thirtheen and how she had a lolita-esqe relationship  with her fucking uncle!

and we even see  that it was her how she and her uncle killed her parents thus being locked away in a lab due to the fact the courts found her mentally insane to even be put away.

A few episodes near the end of the series we learn that the Dr. despite being locked in that lab for fifitheen years she had a child and it was a girl and it was her daughter who everyone found dead not the real doctor.  The Real Dr Shiki excapes but before she leaves her lab forever she and her uncle/babydaddy reunites for the last time and she stab him in the back of the neck.

this week episode mostly tied up loose end the Dr meets up with Soihei and the have a last chat before she runs off forever

It was a slow start but after the third or fourth episode  it does pick up and it is a good mystery/drama anime

While the op and ed rock the voice acting is pretty decent in this show but to be honest there is a scene where Soihei is talking to Dr.Shiki in English and it is a bit cringe worthy

While it isn't a bad show there are alot of thing they kinda left unaswered main on being  WHAT THE FUCK DOES F MEAN!!!  The show is titled  "Everything becomes F the perfect insider" Hell the characters pondered that in the fucking show what the fuck does F mean?!
